Rachid Touzani

Talk Title: Pyrazole: small molecule with a big application potentials

Since 2016, Mr. Rachid Touzani is a Full Professor at the department of chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, University Mohammed Premier, Oujda, Morocco. He received, his BA in 1996 and his PhD in Chemistry in 2001 under the supervision of Professors Abdelkrim Ramdani, Sghir El Kadiri, Taibi Ben Hadda and Pierre Dixneuf.

He performed his first postdoc position at the Université de Rennes 1, France, (2001-2000) under the supervision of Professor Olivier Lavastre. He performed also a second postdoc at the University of Ottawa, Canada, under the supervision of professor Haword Alper (2002-2005).

 In 2019, he was in the world’s Top 2% of scientists. He has published more than 280 documents (Hindex = 34). His  research interests include corrosion inhibitors in collaboration with professor Belkheir Hammouti, for organic inhibitors with new compounds synthetic methodology. He has supervised more than 50 PhD and Master students. He has participated in many conferences (with the publication of 10 book-chapters and 5 books) and was a Fulbright visiting scholar in 2010 in USA, in Alain Goldman laboratory at Rutgers University.

He was guest editor and editor of many journals (Plants ; Material Today Proceedings ; Moroccan Journal of Chemistry…).
